City Hall Nuptials!

Wow.  It's been a while! Sorry for the long lapse in posts! It's been one heck of a busy spring needless to say!

Well, that said, today I am inspired as always, by the people I love in my life. Today, one of my best friends got married in city hall.  Following the ceremony they are treating themselves and their closest family to a  fabulous dinner at a fabulous restaurant.  I love that him and his lovely bride decided on a lovely low key ceremony that was more them then anything else. After all, the big day is about you and your beloved.  Here at Sunshine Daydream Events we remind our brides and grooms of that all the time.

So, today we celebrate some adorable ideas for that simple, low key , city hall ceremony that gets the job done and keeps the hassle away.

Check out these pretty little numbers...

Summery and sweet!

Downtown chic.

Lovin' the neon!

something different- bouquet of succulents

Obsesses with this exquisite rose printed jacket!

So pretty and sophisticated!

But we'll never forget this sweet little vintage number by SJP as Carrie in Sex in the City. What could be more perfect for city hall? And those Manolos.... don't even get me started.

We'll do our best to see you all soon!
Happy Wednesday dolls.

Ombre is IN!

If you follow fashion at all, you most likely have noticed how insanely in  it is to sport the ombre effect-hair, nails, clothes, etc. So it seems this trend has even reached the very unique and specialized world of weddings! Although  a very subdued version, I'm loving WedLuxe Magazine's  version of the trend in this fittingly titled wedding feature, Blushing Ombre.  Photographed  by Vasia Photography.   Enjoy friends!

Happy Sunday!

Blooming Bouquets!

It may be March  4th, and it may be snowing outside here in Wisconsin, but spring is in the air for us at Sunshine Daydream Events! We are so excited for wedding season and can't wait for spring to be in full bloom! Nothing screams Spring more than flowers and the tulips that bloom right outside my door. To get us in the mood for spring (while I wait for those pretty tulips) and all upcoming weddings, we've been daydreaming of some to-die-for bouquets and we'd love to share them with you!

And a very famous bouquet which happens to use my most favorite flower (Lily of the Valley), is that of Princess Kate. I love that she carried something so sweet and small. Below is a picture and the description of this lovely handful of blossoms.

Kate felt that symbolism was key in the small bouquet she carried, designed for her by Shane Connolly. In addition to the flower sweet William, the bouquet included lily-of-the-valley (for return of happiness), hyacinth (constancy of love) and ivy (for fidelity, marriage and affection). Also key to the arrangement were stems from plants grown from sprigs of the bridal bouquets of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.

Now, how sweet is that?

Wedding-ish Oscar Fashion!

Tonight's Oscar fashion trend was certainly light and bright! Featured here are a special few that could pass as wedding dresses!  And I'd love to share them with you (and a few others that caught my eye)!

Without further ado...

I'm loving Guiliana Ranic in Tony Ward couture. Also, Robin Roberts chose a flattering fit.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Couture gown and Kate Mara in soft and pretty Elie Saab.

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer  looking stunning in Tadashi Shoji  and Kristen Wiig in J. Mendel

and Milla in Elie Saab-amazing. I would wear this on my wedding day.

Obsessed with this mint green Elie Saab on gorgeous French actress Bérénice Bejo and then a body baringJennifer in Zuhair Murad.

Strapless Gucci for Cameron and a somber Princess Charlene...

Loving this Valentino couture on Shailene Woodley

And my personal favorite style icon, Gwyneth in Tom Ford.

George's gal, Stacy Kiebler in Marchesa!

Michelle stuns in Louis Vuitton

Alexandra Lamy in this beautiful number.

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli & Natalie Portman in polka-dot-red vintage Haute Couture Christian Dior gown from 1954

And finally classic Angelina in black Atelier Versace.
