Party like a Rockstar! Friday Fave's

New Year's Eve is my favorite holiday. Hands down.  Everyone that knows me knows that I dream I'll be proposed to (as a surprise) right after my New Year's kiss .  Hey, it can happen. And for those of you lucky girls that it did, Congrats! Sunshine Daydream Events would love to help you with the steps that come next in your engaged bliss!

But seriously, what's not to love about New Year's? Champagne, black, silver, gold sparkles and sequins,  the memories of a fabulous year and the idea of a fresh new start, and did I mention champagne?? The thought of an amazing night enjoying life with friends and family is always exciting, but there's just an extra hint of magic for me on NYE.  However, this year, due to work engagements and a hectic schedule, I was forced to cancel a magical NYE trip to New York City with some of the best friends a girl could ask for.  And although  there will be many more trips and many, many, many more good times ahead, this New Year's Eve I will be raising a glass of bubbly to my friends and to the celebration of life and health and happiness, even though we're a few states apart (and an hour of time difference...) and I suggest all of you do the same!

So... to get us started for the new year, here's to a new tradition- Friday Fave's! (this one with a NYE theme of course )

Stunning Alice+Olivia

How do they do that?

Fun for NYE party or wedding!

MAC Glitter eyeshadow.

Where I should be at midnight, but will get to someday!

Start the new year out on a great note and pop the bubbly!

BE SAFE and have an absolutely spectacular NYE!

Merry Christmas!

So sorry for the blog silence but you all  know how the holidays get!  Here at Sunshine Daydream Events, in addition to being busy with our friends and family this last few weeks leading up to the holidays, we've also been busy planning and styling a fabulous winter wedding love shoot (if we do say so ourselves...) Our amazing team, along with the phenomenal photographers at www.loveisabigdeal.com and talented hairstylist/makeup artist http://jennyface.com/   we created a spectacular shoot featuring the love and beauty of our models Jillian and Jaymie.  We're still pinching ourselves at how great it turned out!  Don't worry, the photos will be coming in the next several weeks as we are awaiting our publish date in January on the exclusive wedding website, www.greenweddingshoes.com!  If when these pictures come out and they don't make you want to have a Wisconsin winter wedding, I don't know what will!  Seriously brides! Do the unexpected and let us create a take-your-breath-away winter wonderland wedding! Winter in Wisconsin is so romantic and perfect for the dreamy Wisconsin bride!

Can't show the shoot yet, but to tickle your fancy, here's one of the dresses we used...
Crimson lace- BHLDN

And here are our fun, quirky models! Jaymie and Jillian :)

and here's me tonight, enjoying Christmas Eve with my little nugget, Kira!

I don't think she likes the flash...

Anyway, Merry Christmas from me and Sunshine Daydream Events!

Enjoy your holidays and cherish your loved ones because Life. Is. Short!

Weddings of 2011

Our brides here in Wisconsin, as well as many of the brides out there, sometimes gain inspiration from celebrity weddings.  Nothing wrong with that! And Sunshine Daydream Events always strives to give you the best of the best!  As the year comes to an end, let's take a look at  some of the memorable weddings of 2011!

Above and below: Michael Buble & Argentian actress... Look at that dress!

Awww cute.

On the water: Brooke Burke & David Charvet

NFL: Candice Crawford (brother Chase is on Gossip Girl) and Tony Romo (from near my hometown in WI)

LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian (hot!)

Love the fun vintage look. The groom looks great and obviously so does she. She's Kate Moss. One of my fave's this year.

Memorable? Yes.  Over done and super cheesy? Sunshine Daydream says, Yes, Yes, and Yes!

Vanessa Minnillo & Nick Lachey (finally)

Lilly Allen- headpiece slightly too much like a bonnet for me...

Paul McCartney & Nancy Shevell- Dress by Stell McCartney= so sweet and appropriate

Molly Sims & Scott Stuber- looks beautiful and I LOVE the bridesmaids' looks.

Niki Reed & Paul McDonald (that funky Rod Stewart-ish guy from American Idol)

Zara Phillips and some rugby player. She looked so happy!

Ok- that's it for now!  Perhaps a 'Weddings 2011- Part 2' is in order...

Think Pink!

So...Sunshine Daydream's  inspiration comes today from a classic film,'Funny Face' starring the amazing Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire.

Getting married in WI  is a beautiful experience- but at Sunshine Daydream Events we are constantly impressed by the brides and photographers as well as other vendors and service providers that strive for something above and beyond the "norm" to create a marvelous wedding of their dreams.   One way for brides to go beyond the "norm" is by embracing the colored wedding dress trend out there and right now, and we are going gaga over PINK!

I'm only a few minutes in to the film and it reminds me of a retro, 'The Devil Wears Prada' with the demanding magazine head, Maggie Prescott directing shots for the photographer and imposing her fashion sense on everybody!  The opening number, Think Pink, is absolutely exquisite!

Maggie Prescott and her Pink brigade!

Ok ladies! So take a minute and THINK PINK (or blush)!

BHDLN

Carolina Herrera

Love this gold hand embroidery by Reem Acra

Maria Lucia Hohan

Very Wang and Millcrest Vintage

To quote Miss Rachel Zoe, "I. Die." Elie Saab.

OMG.  Soft and sexy!  Abed Mahfouz 2011 Couture

IN LOVE with this ballerina bodice. So flattering and beautiful.

But he best in blush would be one of Sunshine Daydream's very own- Kate! On her wedding day she was absolutely stunning in BCBG Max Azria.

If you wanna do something different for your wedding in WI or IL and have a marvelous outdoor wedding like Kate's (2 photos above), then email us at Sunshine Daydream Events today!  design@sunshinedaydreamevents.com

Have a fabulous weekend mes amis!

Think Outside the Box!

Here at Sunshine Daydream we are all about the NON cookie cutter weddings.   Anything we can do to personalize and customize your wedding is what we will strive for.  Now-a-days there are no rules and a bride and groom can pretty much do anything they please to make the wedding of their dreams come true.  And Sunshine Daydream Events is here to guide you along the way-especially if you need help getting your wedding brain Outside That Box!

Here are a few ideas that we are big fans of :)

Very sweet

This definitely helps the good times start.  Perfect for an outside cocktail hour!

Love this idea-and it's so useful

Unbelievably romantic: Write letters to each other. Don't read them.  Add them to a box along with a favorite bottle of wine. During the ceremony nail it shut. Open it at your 25th wedding anniversary!

So fun and very entertaining!

Guests love this and it gets them in that lovey-dovey mood :)

Love the colors- Sweets for the sweetest day of your lives!

Neat idea

Absolute Fave: Tie a fisherman's knot- the strongest kind.  The rope will break before the knot becomes undone. The knot only gets tighter with pressure.  After the wedding, hang it in your house as a reminder of the promises you exchanged that day. Doesn't that just make your heart tingle with love?!

How's that for some different ideas?

What are you thinking of doing for your wedding that nobody else has done? We'd love to hear!

Celebrate today!
